Nigerian preacher, TB Joshua has provoked controversy after declaring that women who abort babies conceived through rape are committing a “double sin”. TB Joshua waded in to the abortion debate while answering questions from fans on Facebook.
When an online user asked his thoughts on getting rid of a baby in the case of a rape victim, he advised that drawing closer to God was a better alternative. He went on to claim that God often orchestrates situations like rape to change people.
“Committing an abortion when you are raped is a double sin. God often uses foolish things to express himself,” he wrote.
“Many great people and heroes today are products of this background.
“In any way, in any circumstance you find yourself in today as you are reading this note, you have not committed any unpardonable sin. Run to Jesus; don’t run from Him whatever situation you find yourself.”
His comments prompted mixed reaction from the Christian community.
“After all is said, people will still do what’s on their minds. It’s between you and your God,” one commenter said.
Another wrote: “I agree with prophet Joshua..who are we to approve though? Abortion is murder of a baby who knows nothing about his or her coming..I pray not to experience it though.”
A third said: “So in the case of incest the woman should also keep the baby as well? stfu TB Joshua and I feel sorry for those who listen to people like you. Abortion is a women’s [sic] right to choose. Nobody should make that decision for them.”
Joshua’s remarks come days after Pastor Chris Oyakhilome claimed that the decision should be the victim’s.

so true..they say myles munroe was a product of rape..its not how we come that matters, its what God has sent us to do that matters
If he indeed said this, for the first I will agree with T B Joshua not as prophet or man of GOD but as a person speaking out his mind.
That is the correct position, abortion is not allowed under any circumstances even the unfortunate ones like rape.
Before GOD there are no rights and women’s rights do not exist before the CREATOR but most people will beg to differ and say women can also become priests and bishops, but before GOD that is abomination.
Remember what makes sense to humans, to GOD is a sin. People are now saying gays can be priests and bishops, why not also make murderers and thieves church leaders? You can go and kill and come back to you flock, how about that?
Abortion is murder of the unborn and it is not allowed by GOD the ALMIGHTY period.
Yes TB Joshua was correct on this one, no one should abort a child no matter what. All the children are children of The Lord God Jesus Christ. Even those you call your own children are children of The Lord God Jesus Christ including all us also that believe on The Lord God Jesus Christ, we are his children. On the last day all, I mean everyone who believes including all children shall be changed to a spiritual body then shall you all know that we are all children of one Father and that Father is God Jesus Christ. I agree with this brother on this one but disagree with him on how he uses money donated in Churches, that money should not be squandered by him and his ushers but rather it should be given back to the poor, I mean all of it. If he does that then he shall be forgiven on the last day. AMEN. Messenger Of God
