Social networks were abuzz at the weekend as Zimbabweans poured their outrage at President Robert Mugabe who recently said he does not talk to white people. This came as an undated photograph of him surfaced as he kissed a white male priest’s hand (picture). Mugabe told a white journalist in South Africa last week he does not speak to white people. Hypocrites wonna pay the price some day so sings Jimmy Cliff. Mugabe has never been authentic and I challenge those who worship him to show me some organisation that he personally started.At least I pioneered a burial society in my township and it survives up to today. Looking at Mugabe’s history you will find that all he is good at is highjacking what othere have started.He even tried it in Ghana but the Ghanaians would have none of the nonsense.He has no clue what the liberation struggle was all about hence he thinks it was about race.The likes of Didymus now curse the day they ever invited him to be part of the ZANU PF. For the uninitiated he never volunteered to be part of the struggle like the rest of us but he was “invited”.

Mugabe is desperate to remain relevant and with his tarnished image of a corrupt and ruthless tyrant now cast in stone he is trying to remain relevant by leading the lunatic fringe! He publicly tells the white journalist he does not speak to whites and yet he has been begging from white for money all the time. Since 2008 it is the Western donors who has paid 98% of Zimbabwe’s imported medicines, if they stopped Zimbabweans will be dying like flies!
It is ok for him and his family; each time they are sick the taxpayer coughs $3 million for them to go to Singapore for treatment. He can afford to be totally obnoxious; it is the ordinary Zimbabweans how will pay dearly for his lunacy, they have been paying dearly for 35 years!
It is going to take generations to recover from the economic ruins and political scars Mugabe has inflicted on the nation. As for the international notoriety of Zimbabwe being synonymous with the lunatic Mugabe; that is a historic stain that can never be rubbed out!
