As expelled former senior Minister of State in the President’s Office Didymus Mutasa is pushed to speak on Israeli company NIKUV and the just ended 2013 elections, a State Media investigation on him has opened a can of worms providing vivid pointers that Mutasa contrary to his previous denials, did promise vast tracts of land as a reward to the late ZEC senior official Shupikai Mashereni for a sterling job in twisting 2013 election figures.
Mr Mashereni died under mysterious circumstances shortly after demanding from Mutasa a 70 hectare Headlands farm promised before the July elections, in February this year. ZimEye.com has in our possession impeccable digital electronic mail records proving how Mashereni repeatedly battled Mr. Mutasa to obtain the promised farm shortly before his sudden death. In the digital electronic mail communications Mashereni further revealed before and after the 2013 elections how the ZEC digitally adjusted figures in advance to ensure Robert Mugabe and his ZANU PF party win last year’s elections. Subsequently Mugabe won the elections out-rightly with more than 62% of the votes.
While in India, earlier in the week, Mutasa denied ever issuing land to either Mashereni or anyone else. He told ZimEye.com, “I don’t know absolutely anything about it…So kwandiri, I never gave promised anybody any farms,
“That’s not true, as I said to you again and again it’s not true,” he reiterated when asked to clarify what he meant.

Yesterday the State Media reported that Mutasa did indeed dish out farms to various people. Several issue letters issued by Mr Mutasa have been audited showing how using his influence Mutasa allegedly of a truth did parcel out farms in Headlands Constituency to a select group of people who included friends, politicians and close family members.
Said one source, “Most of the farms in the Headlands area are owned by Cde Mutasa’s close relatives. Even some of his relatives who are not resident in Zimbabwe have been allocated farms which they have never set foot on. One example is a farm called Homewood in Headlands which he allocated to his relative who is based in London, but who has never set foot on the farm….
“He has also given offer letters to a number of white farmers in Headlands,” said the State Media source.
Mutasa who was once Mugabe’s highly trusted party official entrusted with top secrets and high profile intelligence operations, has reportedly reached his political grave after Mugabe turned against him during the final weeks running up to ZANU PF’s crunch congress. It is widely held that the recent events are leading to Mutasa opening his mouth further to reveal all that ZANU PF did to unjustly digitalise the results of the just ended elections.

  1. Call me thick but I didnt read any link to Nikuv or indeed to any tangible evidence of rigging….If indeed the emails exist then zimeye should publish them do they say why Mutasa promised the guy a farm for? Maybe he promised him a farm because he was his relative?

  2. Tangible evidence. Certainly not hearsay. Why is the digital alteration of election results not in the public domain if it was revealed? And why is Zimeye not publishing those “impeccable digital electronic mails” if they are so damning? “They said”, “he said”, “she said” will never hold up in any conversation except as useless gossip. We will not even talk about courts of law.

  3. The truth will come out about 2013. God will indeed ensure it. And 2013 elections are not only about Mutasa but about the whole of ZPF. God will not honour a lie or deception or theft. All carry a curse. As a so called Christian nation we should be ashamed of ourselves. We seem to think we can lie, steal, deceive etc, etc with impunity and get away with it. God will NOT be mocked. Zimeye needs to publish these things. there was supposed to be a whole series of exposes on 2013 elections and Nikuv. What happened to them???

  5. Poor article. No link with Nikuv whatsoever, just speculation as usual. Where is the concrete proof that Mashereni was given land by Mutasa?
