Manyuchi Defends Title in Italy

World Boxing Council (WBC) International Welterweight Champion, Charles Manyuchi who traces his roots to Masvingo this month will be defending his title against an Italian opponent.
Manyuchi, the Zimbabwean national who is currently with Oriental Quarries Boxing Promotions in Zambia will be fighting against Italian Gianluca Frezza (35) in Milan.

Manyuchi is also getting support from Mr T35 and Bopela Group – a telecommunications booster’s construction company which has branches in Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa.
To keep fit ahead of the crucial encounter has been training under the watchful eye of his father and manager Ottis Manyuchi and has staged fights against the Zambian duo of Mbachi Kaonga and Ben Muziwo.
The 26 year old Manyuchi will trade leather with the 35-year-old Italian who has a record 23 wins that include eight knock-outs, two draws and two defeats.
The Zimbabwean pugilist was initially billed to fight Mexican Silvero Ortiz on April 25 in Lusaka but Ortiz promoters responded negatively resulting in the cancelation of the bout, with Manyuchi promoters opting for Frezza.
