“Spotting A False Prophet,”  By Dr Noah Pashapa
There are simple ways of detecting a false prophet, prominent church founder, academic and theologian, Dr. Noah Pashapa says in a development that has seen Prophets Emmanuel Makandiwa, and Walter Magaya publicly fingered for the manner in which they dabble in crafted miracles and cash takings. “All Bishop’s words point at Makandiwa and Magaya, how can Zimbabweans forget for instance the fake fat belly miracle?” scholar Andrew Dube said on Tuesday.
Speaking to TV presenter Zororo Makamba, Dr Pashapa said there are signs that are easy to see which instantly display a false preacher. The preacher who has been behind the pulpit for over 25 years, said, “there are indicators in the Bible but one of the most critical ones is anyone who begins to focus on themselves: their whole message, the whole organisation revolves around them. They have become a personality cult.  They have become “the” important component. That is your indicator number one, because John The Baptist said Jsus must increase, I must decrease. I am not even fit to tie the thread of his sandals.
“Number 2 – You judge them by the fruit, their character. If some is out to milk, is out to manipulate. He is using the power of suggestion. People are told I have prayed for you you are healed, stop taking your medication…In Jesus’ time he heals the people who have leprosy,  he says to them go consult the doctors because the priests of the day were the doctors.
“So he says to the ten lepers you go consult with the priests who will confirm you have been healed for sure. But these chaps don’t do that. In fact they say to people you don’t go to the doctors. I am telling you you are healed instantaneously, and completely. There is no room for partial gradual healing. And there is no room for no healing…”
“A lot of these people are now looking for medical attention when it is too late.”
Pashapa said spiritual deception has become rampant due to the Zimbabwean political environment for over 35 years continuing to impose a “very terrorised mentality” in the people.

The bible in Ephesians 4:26 says In your anger do not sin, let not the sun go down upon your wrath (anger). This means its possible to get angry yet not sinning. Sin comes when you spend many days in that state and you refuse to forgive, it becomes bitterness of heart (chigumbu).   85. Thats exactly why Prophet Makandiwa has manged to break barriers in the spirit. The reason is because he takes instruction from the spirit of instruction which is the Holy Spirit. He is not into academic theology No. He speaks what God tells him. He interprets the bible according to the explanation he gets from the Holy Spirit, thats revelation.   95. What i have discovered is that many who have gone to bible school are the worst pastors. Many of them do not move in the power of the Holy Spirit. They spend time teaching about greek words and hebrew words without bridging the gap btween theory and practice. There is nothing wrong with bible scholars, God himself allows his people to go through bible school sometimes. But it becomes a problem to launch an attck against other men of God simply because you call yourself an authority in theology. Last time i checked Jesus constantly had a showdown and disagreement with theologians (Saducees, Pharisees). They claimed to know God but rejected Jesus. Clearly this shows that most theologians actually do not know the God they claim to know and serve, they end up attacking what God would have given them during their time. The time is now for such things to be corrected in the body of Christ

  96. There is no truth in what is said. Pr Makandiwa does not focus on himself. He calls himself Emmanuel Makandiwa even on Christs Tv or the books he writes. The congregants themselves are the ones who call him prophet though he is. The fruits are very clear, check with Agape family care, how many people have their fees, clothes, rents, food, fuel paid for monthly by prophet Makandiwa and Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa? Why not go to the department of social welfare and check how many orphans and elderly are being taken care of by this man. Man people who are very loud in criticising him are not even taking care of their parents and siblings and prophet Makandiwa fills the gap by taking care of them. Healing sessions are for free. Prophet Makandiwa urges people to bring their scans medical reports etc and after prayer, he tells people to go back to hospitals for confirmation. It obviously shows you do not know the man

  100. If a person who hates you interviews a person who hates you about a subject pertaining to you, what can you expect? What has Pashapa himself done for the sick and demonized with the power of God? You can not justify your impotence by publicly crushing those who are outdoing you.
    Why not actually bring those healed, publicly shown on TV, to be interviewed by that naïve show off kid to explain?
