A year after the 2013 elections, top Harare preacher Rev Andrew Wutaunashe has insisted that following last year’s polls, God Almighty has given Robert Mugabe another chance.
Addressing a delegation of thousands, some of whom came from African countries and overseas to attend the national prayer and dedication service for Zimbabwe in Bulawayo, Rev (also referred to as Prophet) Wutawunashe said President Mugabe’s leadership role was a special gift to the nation from God.
“President Mugabe is a God chosen leader. He was raised by God to lead this nation. He has worked diligently for this country and was given the strength to fight for the nation’s wealth to be owned by the black majority, which has been a success,” said Rev Wutawunashe.
Last year he told ZimEye.com way before the 2013 elections God had showed him a picture of how the post election Zimbabwe will be and told him ” I am going to give the old man an opportunity to complete his work.” He added that he himself then told President Mugabe: “the years of collegial government you had with these people (The MDC) were not a waste of time.” He said that contrary to what political apologists have said before, the government of national unity has actually brought respect among politicians from both warring groups.
While leading special prayer session attended by Zanu-PF Politburo and Central Committee members, lawmakers, senior party officials and delegates from Malawi, Kenya, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, Wutaunashe repeated his comments that Mugabe is God’s special gift. He continued, “he has led the country through the struggles against hatred and negative reporting from other countries. I keep on mentioning that his leadership role comes from God and all we have to do is to pray to God to give him long life and wisdom to take this nation to a different level.”
Wutawunashe said it was important for the nation to respect and rally behind President Mugabe and the country’s entire leadership.
During the same meeting there were prayers for the President and the First Family; his two Vice Presidents, Cdes Emmerson Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko; the Cabinet and all political leaders in the country. Wutawunashe also took time to pray for the successful implementation of the five-year Zim-Asset as well as a fruitful agricultural season.
He said he was confident that the country would experience tremendous blessings from God as promised in the Bible, adding that it was important to always bring the country’s leadership before the Lord.

  1. Romans 13 says “Let every person be subordinate to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been established by God” This means that God establishes governments, even Mugabe and Hitler’s, but it doesn’t mean that He chooses the leaders. Chosen leaders of God follow His commandments —- here is an example of how God chosen leaders are selected:
“Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear
God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place
these over them as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of
    tens.”
And this is just a couple if examples on how God chosen leaders should be:
“It is an abomination for kings to commit wicked acts, For a throne is established on righteousness”
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves

  3. Many, many religious leaders that are so called men of God are simply business men with a Bible or cross. They are frightened to tell the truth and know that boot licking will get them a nice lifestyle. They haven’t the intelligence to understand that some day the God that they purport to worship is going to give them a swift kick in the ass in the direction of hell.

  4. Very true. I am sure a lot of us including Wutawashe will recall Mugabe appearing on national television after the attempted murder of Tsvangirai by the police at Machipisa police station following the aborted national day of prayer at the Zimbabwe Grounds that “Tsvangirai anodashurwa” nemapurisa. To then say such a display of cruelty is from a man chosen by God is an insult to the generality of the peace loving but thoroughly abused Zimbabweans by a disgraceful and over-fed boot-licker who obviously was on “duty” when he made the utterances.

  5. I do not wish death to Mugabe. What I would want for him and his ilk is to witness a truly democratic and prosperous Zimbabwe in their time but ofcourse answering for their multitude of sins against God’s children of Zimbabwe.

  7. OK OK OK Wutawunashe, thank you, I hope you tongue is not sore from licking dem boots.
A proper man-of-GOD should tell it as it is, Misheck, Shadreck and Abidmigo were famous for telling the King the truth and when trouble came their LORD stood by them. So Wutawunashe, where will you be when trouble comes your way, who will stand by you, with you? Ask Gumbura, he used to bootlick the politicians like what you are doing now. You have been seeing a prosperous Zimbabwe after every election for the last 30 years and meanwhile the masses continue to wallow in stinking poverty.
This party you are bootlicking today is very well known for svipping people (spitting) and you can never be an exception UCHASVIPWA CHETE.
    THINK ABOUT IT!

  9. Musatambe naMwari . Mugabe rigged the elections but his days are numbered. Three prophets of God have already prophesied his impending death.

  10. If vatungamiri venyika vachigadzwa naMwari why then do people go to vote for a president, why not just wait until GOD says and then these false prophets will tell us who GOD is anointing? IWE, uri GIDI rakakombama. Yoyo did not need to see Mugabe do it, if the police and army kill people they do so in the name of the president. When zanu pf murders people they are doing so in the name of their leader, saka wanga uchida kuti yoyo amuone kupi? Uri GIDI rekushidhisa whiza!

  12. Exactly @kufakwejeyi and @yoyo. What this so called prophet is saying is that all of the heinous bloodshed, murder, torture, vote rigging, theft, greed, oppression, violence, corruption of the ruling party is okay with God. He is actually justifying sin and that is why we are a nation under judgment. He obviously does NOT know the same God we know and he obviously does NOT read the same bible that we do. A true man of God would be speaking nothing but repentance into their lives. It is despicable and I pray that the Lord will expose every false prophet/teacher in Zimbabwe. They lead their flocks into terrible spiritual danger. RGM a special gift to Zimbabwe????? yes! God does use as a tool an evil ruler to bring judgment on an errant nation but then judgment will also come to that tool. That Prophet Watawunashe would be closer to the truth. ZPF’s cup of sin is getting fuller and fuller. My caring and loving advice to them would be to repent and confess before it is too late.

  14. These so called Prophets, sadly, are false prophets. The word of God warns about them time and time again. Instead of being a true prophetic voice to a nation and its government as the Moses, Isaiah’s, Hosea’s, Jeremiah’s and more were and exposing sin, and leading a nation into repentance they actually condone the sins of the leaders. You do not love and care for someone by NOT speaking the truth. Watawunashe fits the bill as a false prophet. He should repent. The governments sin will lead them to eternal nation and NOT to forgiveness and eternal life. He talks about the nations wealth being owned by a black majority!!!! God is not racist. God does not think and act like us. His ways are far above ours. Implementing a chaotic and destructive land reform, violently and with bloodshed, destroying the lives of millions of farmworkers and farm owners and their families, and done without a shred of mercy or grace, and ‘stealing’ assets that do NOT belong to them is NOT how God works! That so called ‘calling’ of RGM”s has destroyed an entire nation and millions of Zimbabweans who wallow in poverty will tell you they have nothing. Robbing the rich to give to the poor has NEVER worked anywhere at anytime. ZPF have stuffed their own pockets and judgment day will be an interesting day for sure! Watuwanashe has put what is wrong for right, he has put darkness for light and bitter for sweet. Woe to him. Tell the government to repent of their sins and then you will be doing your job. ZPF’s hands are dripping with blood, their mouths are full of lies and deceit and their theft from an entire nation brings a curse upon their house.

  15. What i utterly fail to reconcile with is how these boot licking churchmen turn a blind eye to all the violence and murders committed by the so-called chosen one. The 2008 murders of opposition members committed with utter impunity, the millions of Zimbabweans displaced and now eking out a living in foreign lands because of violence and man-made poverty are inconsequential in the eyes of these men of God who think someone who has refused to cede power when defeated so many times is the country’s gift from God. Could it be that they have never heard of the word “curse”, for that is what he is?

  17. yoyo usangovhumuka dzikama uri dofo wakamuona achiuraya kupi. asi hauzivi here kuti Mutungamiriri weNyika anogadza naMWARI NOT newe yoyo. so when God said Robert it was so and it is stil so. vamunogadza imi sevanhu veZIMBA maMPs and vamwe matungamiriri but weNYIKA ndiYAVE. zvizive. so your vote concerning PRESIDENT is nothing.
