ANALYSIS| Abducted democracy activist Itai Dzamara’s brother, Patson has CIO secret numbers which even ZANU PF Ministers do not and may never have in their lifetime. Patson Dzamara even has rare access to the state Intelligence boss Happyton Bonyongwe’s wife and so Zimbabweans charge saying it is shocking that a mere average citizen who is no relation at all, would have the number of the State’s most senior secret service chief’s wife.
Bear in mind that barely a week after his brother disappeared of suspected CIO work and is now feared dead, Patson organised a banquet involving Bonyongwe’s wife. Full colour posters show Mrs Bonyongwe as a key speaker at the Dzamara function. How was this done whilst the entire nation was being made to believe that Itai was abducted by the same people his brother was dining with?
The truth is that in most African cultures, moreso, by general Zimbabwe customs, when a beloved dies or disappears, we spend weeks both mourning and hunting for the Witch who would be assumed to have caused the deed. People do this so that they exhaust their grief and anger at their loss. But for Dzamara, the case was different. He instead invited Bonyongwe’s wife and a host of other well known brutes from ZANU PF including the moral misfit Phillip Chiyangwa to his banquet.
It leaves one wondering if Dzamara is indeed excusing Zanu and state agents from accusations being made against them. Mr Dzamara must explain his CIO links, unless if these connections are a mere coincidence. If not, he just needs to explain to the nation why he is so heartless to say one thing about his brother whilst on the hand dining with his perceived abductors. You can not accuse someone of murdering your brother yet you have no problem being cosy to that person’s wife and friends. I find it very difficult when many people including MDC T are so forthright in accusing the state agents for abducting Itai, yet his family has not been that outspoken, and worse off, his brother has been conducting functions with those being accused.
I seek not to sound heartless, but there is need for us to use our brains more than our hearts and tears on the Itai disappearance. I surely believe among these questions are answers to what happened. What happened to Itai, abducted to be murdered or to be imprisoned? Was his disappearance arranged? What made people conclude it was the state agents well before his family had even said so? Are some crimes being committed in the name of the state simply because everyone no longer trusts the state agents and they too are unable to defend themselves? Who would benefit with the disappearance of Itai who clearly seemed not a threat to the state? Assuming he was a threat, in what capacity that would have defeated the fear MDC T once struck to Zanu? If Itai is alive, where would he be where our esteemed state agents and ZRP have failed to track him, unless if they surely have something to do with his disappearance? How strongly involved with opposition parties was Itai? Was he more than an activist? Could he have been a double agent who strayed? We need answers from everyone, and from his brother about his association with the alleged abductors.

Nonsense. He refused to have MDC T politicize the prayer meeting meant for his brother. Therefore he is CIO?

This article lacks substance and is a mere attempt to sway people’s beliefs and associate Itai’s brother with the disappearance. The writer was not intelligent enough to read the connotations of his article.If Itai’s brother has such numbers, then he connived with the security agents to kidnap his brother. On behalf of the security agents, the writer is admitting that Itai was abducted by the state .That was a foolish article.In the process of trying to put out the fire, the writer, presumably a boader gezi crew member has admitted to the abduction. The fact that Itai’s brother had such meetings and parties with the alleged witches does not cleanse the witches.

Some interesting questions but the fact remains that Itai was kidnapped. People conclude that it is the state agents that took him because they are the ones who have abducted people in the past. He was attracting attention whether he was just a lunatic or not. He was demonstrating against the untouchable head of state. It is known that saying anything against Mugabe is self condemnation even to death by him or his agents. Even the foreigners are not spared. Lindiwe Zulu of South Africa tried and she was openly called “a woman of the street”. Desmond Tutu has been called “a little evil man” by non other than Mugabe himself. One can ask all sorts of questions from whatever angle, for the majority of Zimbabweans Itai Dzamara was one of the many victims of Mugabe’ s system of governance.
