A television broadcast van and other vehicles belonging to Zimbabwe’s cricket board have been auctioned on the orders of a court to pay an outstanding debt of more than $200,000 to a former employee.
The outside broadcast van and nine other vehicles used by staff members like the chief executive, the director of coaching, and the head selector, were sold in Harare this week to pay money owed to former commercial executive Andrew Muzamhindo.
Other cars belonging to Zimbabwe Cricket were also auctioned this month.
Zimbabwe Cricket is in serious financial trouble, as is the country’s football federation.
Last week, Zimbabwe were thrown out of 2018 soccer World Cup qualifying for failing to pay money they owed to their former national coach.-AP
