Cabinet talks fail over key ministries
18/09/2008 15h00 By Isaac Chihota
HARARE (ZimEye) - Zimbabwe's negotiators were called in on Thursday after leaders failed to agree on who will get which key ministries in a new unity government. The matter has now been referred back to the negotiators, the opposition spokesman reported on Thursday.
"The meeting did not produce an agreement and the matter has been referred to the negotiators because of contestations over key ministries," Nelson Chamisa, spokesman for the Movement for Democratic Change said.
This negative development follows an earlier ZANU PF meeting on Tuesday reported in the ZimEye in which ruling party heavyweights the likes of Didymus Mutasa nailed Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe into the wall accusing him of beign a sell-out by giving too much power to the MDC – ZimEye
