Dabengwa to 'recall' Msika from Presidency as ZAPU is formedBy Vusi Moyo & Mary Muradzikwa
Bulawayo(ZimEye)- After roughly 21 years of being managed by Zanu PF, Joshua Nkomo's Zapu has finally been re-formed. The new Zapu leader Dumiso Dabengwa normally known as the black Russian in the 1970's told a crowd of about 5000 Zanu PF provincial members at Stanley square on Saturday that the Party is now considering recalling vice president Joseph Msika in exactly the way Jacob Zuma’s faction recalled Thabo Mbeki from the presidency in South Africa.
The new leader officially announced that he has now eternally broken ranks with Mugabe’s party since its 1987 unity accord agreement.
Three top Zanu PF members’ the publicity secretary, Zanu PF secretary for publicity John Nkomo, Tryphine Nhliziyo and war veterans’ leader Andrew Ndlovu also appeared on the podium with Dabengwa.
"We will use Zanu pf's current headquarters in the city as our home because that building Davies hall was our building in 1980 including the CIO offices at Magnet house; so the spies should move to government buildings and vacate our property; We are (also) not returning the cars because we also contributed to their purchase" said Dabengwa to as he declared to his supporters who responded with a thunderous applause.
All heads are expected to roll in Mugabe’s Zanu PF after this historic turning point in southern Zimbabwe after an article was published in a local publication on Monday revealing that a military alliance against the Mugabe led government has been formed in Johannesburg, South Africa. On Monday, it was also reported in a number of online publications that Mr Mugabe on Saturday begged Dabengwa to return to ZANU PF.
