Enough evidence for treason charge -
Sikhanyiso Ndhlovu
By Tracy Sibanda
Bulawayo -The government has enough evidence to convict the entire MDC leadership on treason charges but is avoiding bringing Tsvangirai and his resurgent MDC faction to book lest this would be viewed by critics as part of ZANU PF's re-election strategy. This was said by the minister of Information and Publicity Dr Sikhanyiso Ndlovu on the 12 of June during his campaign rally at the Mpopoma ZANU PF office.
Addressing a crowd of about 40 loyalists the outgoing minister of Information and Publicity said investigators had uncovered more incriminating evidence of treason against the Tsvangirai faction.
"This party MDC will soon be buried by the law. After we win the run off we will ensure that the law descends on this foreign sponsored animal" Ndlovu said. This statement comes at a time in which MDC Secretary General Tendai Biti is facing multiple charges of treason with his boss Tsvangirai having been detained countless times sine the campaigning began.
